    MVA (Motor Vehicle Accidents)

Frequently it is injuries are sustained by those involved in motor vehicle accidents.  The most common injury being whiplash.  Whiplash is described as "an injury to the neck (the cervical vertebrae) resulting from rapid acceleration or deceleration (as in an automobile accident)."  It can occur when the head is forced forward quickly in relation to the body.  There are varing degrees of whiplash injuries and the 2 most common (WAD 1 -whiplash associated disorder 1-and WAD 2) are readily treatable by chiropractic care.

Often pain after a car accident is not felt immediately.  It can appear up to 48 hours after the car accident, giving the people involved the impression that they have not been injuried during the accident.

Other car accident injuries can result in muscle weakness and painful joints, both of which can be treated by your local Toronto chiropractor.

It is always important to seek out proper healthcare early after injuries to ensure proper, quick healing to avoid future complications and reinjury to susceptable muscles and joints.  Booking a consultation/examination is always a good idea to help define the extent of your injuries.
